As the world becomes increasingly reliant on artificial intelligence (AI), organizations are reevaluating their approach to generative AI. Gone are the days of mass experimentation and investment in every shiny new tech; instead, companies are focusing on achieving business value through a more targeted and strategic use of generative AI.
Spreading Fatigue
It seems that many organizations have experienced fatigue from their previous generative AI experiments. The NTT DATA study found that 61% of those surveyed planned to increase their investments in gen AI within the next two years, but more than a quarter said their companies planned to launch over 20 AI pilots in 2025. Despite these ambitious plans, many organizations are likely to focus on projects that give them a competitive advantage rather than general HR, digital assistant, or chatbot projects.
